How is a background check performed on a tenant candidate?

  • Updated

Rendin has built its background check on checking payment defaults. It's a tool for Rendin because we need to be sure that we trust the potential tenant – we're taking a risk for the tenant, not the landlord.

If the candidate passes the background check, it means that they have no debts to other companies. This method helps to exclude a large number of problematic tenants. We also collect a database of tenants who have caused headaches to landlords and can no longer use our platform for finding a rental home.

It is not a long process. The candidate will be verified in a few minutes.

Landlords can also search the criminal record database, and search Google and social media, to see what is known about a potential tenant.
